Support Ukraine

We have an opportunity to provide Direct Support to a family in Poland who is housing Ukrainian families looking for a safe space.

They are a family of 5 currently housing 5 additional families, totaling 21 people in their home.

These families have left with the clothes on their back and whatever they can carry. They have shared stories of abandoning cars because of traffic backups and checkpoints. So they walk for miles and miles... many times with kids in arms and trying to pull a suitcase. Temperatures are often just below freezing as they travel at night.

They are providing for their daily needs while their husbands stay back to fight. They are also committed to helping them long term; until they can return home or establish new housing and life someplace new (either in another country as they did with a family sending them to Denmark, or local apartments, or AirBnBs).

While they hope everything is temporary, they are being realistic and planning for the long term. A missionary friend of theirs has come and is helping them remodel different areas of their house to better their accommodations for all the additional people such as an additional kitchenette.

Many groups are raising funds and helping with broad donations, but we have an avenue to fund and support these families directly. We have been given a way to get support directly to this family, although we cannot share their names out of concern for the safety of them and the Ukrainian families they are helping. They covet your prayers and any support you are able to send.
